If your into retro gaming then your not want to miss the Play Expo at Manchesters Event City this coming October.
Official Press Release below..
Manchester’s biggest video gaming show, PLAY Expo, returns for its fourth year.
Tickets for PLAY Expo, the North’s biggest gaming expo have gone on sale this morning. The show will take place at EventCity, Manchester on 10th and 11th October 2015.
PLAY Expo is in its fourth year in Manchester and has more than doubled in size over that time. Hundreds of screens of next-gen, indie and retro games as well as eSports, cosplay and stars of film and TV pulled 19,000 attendees through the doors of the highly-successful two day event last October.
Replay Events Director Andy Brown said “PLAY Expo 2014 was a huge leap forward for us in terms of scale and ambition but we delivered a knockout show that our attendees absolutely loved. The bar has been set very high for PLAY Expo this year, but we already have plans underway to smash all previous records out of the water.
Show features we introduced last year such as celebrity signings, our careers fair and Youtuber meet and greets will be expanded plus we are adding even more new content for 2015 including an area dedicated to the immensely popular Minecraft, where we will be running a Hunger Games tournament and a creative build server. Of course this won’t be at the expense of any of the other parts of the show - we know how passionate our attendees are about all aspects of PLAY Expo.
We pride ourselves on being the most diverse gaming expo in the UK – where else can you see so many of the latest games and technologies alongside arcades, pinballs, retro consoles and computers? The response we get from the gaming community is overwhelming, we’re immensely proud of what the show has become and we look forward to delivering yet another phenomenal event to our audience and partners this October.”
PLAY Expo 2015 will also feature the UK’s largest arcade and pinball display, industry speakers, movie props and vehicles, card and board games, merchandise plus a host of other features. More announcements will be made in the coming months. Further information and tickets are available from www.playexpo.net.

Day two and three of Hyper Japan where set to be the busiest as always, though i did wander with the hot weather if people would stay away and enjoy the sun.
I don't know if on the door ticket sales where as frantic as previous years and with the bigger venue it never really got to the point where you could not move in the venue. even though some isles and of course the main stage areas where always busy at prime times and Nintendo seemed to be causing a stir with all the new games they were showing and the competitons they where running.
Stall browsing,Cosplay and Tomodochi Life stole my time, where did it go?
Saturday saw the first of cosparades and so many cosplayers where arriving by the minute. Though the cosparade was not overly long ,the entrants where top knotch and performed well.
Of course many cosplayers turn up in pre-made outfits and of course these don't qualify for the cosparades or any competitions ,but then not every one is a able seamstress.
Myself i chose to cosplay as Kato Rumi on Saturday in my Manafactured St Marie Academy school Girl uniform from the Yumerio Patissiere TV anime series.
Fans of Jpop and Rock where lucky with live performances from Yanagi Nagi and ''One Not'e''
With the cosplay desk and stage holding workshops and photo shoots there was a lot for the cosplayers to do when they were'nt chearing the cosplayers on stage or playing Nintendo. .
Or just trying to chill out in the heat.
Our Cosplay hosts ,Traddional dance,One Not'e Jrock and of course ,Cosplay
Sunday saw another fine day ,again i myself decided to cosplay,Chrome Dokuro this time . after two days i was starting to feel it a bit ,so i must admit i didn't get there to early .
We caught the Siro-A performance and of course Sunday was the ECG (European Cosplay Gathering ) competitions and another cosparade for the Sunday attendees.
With a A list group of cosplay judges and a packed main stage area the entrants had there work cut out for them , some of the work that they put in is quite amazing.
There was some debate i over heard surrounding the cosparade ,but the show went ahead but maybe not to plan as the cosparade entrants had hoped for. It was pretty obvious if you where there .. More in our main feature of Hyper Japan next week..

Yes Friday 25th of July saw Hyper Japan return to Earls Court for a even bigger show this year.
With Dedicated stages for Cosplay,Fringe ,Martial arts and Kawaii as well as the Main stage . it became evident some careful planning is needed for us to catch everything we want to see and of course report on..
Cosplayers where scarce for Friday ,but then it is a working day for most , Where back on the Saturday and hopefully the cosplayers will turn out. And hopefully i won't be the only guy in shcool girl outfit..
Nintendo has a huge stand with the UK Nintendo store, and there showing some of the games from E3 ,Namely ,Captain Toad,Sonic Boom, Smash Brothers (3DS only) and Hyrule Warriors to name a few.
Captain Toad is a Fun title in the mould of Mario 3D World
Add to this a Mario Kart competiton zone and Tomadochi Life area and a Wii U Karoke stage and what you have is a mini Nintendo convention going on within Hyper Japan.
Double act Yanakiku got the crowd clapping,Waving and Singing
There was JPOP with Yanakiku which rounded of the day perfectly..
Another update tomorrow ,then we plan the big site feature with all the photo's ..
Check back in tomorrow.

Faster then a speeding bullet I'm Bruno B . back with our fourth instalment in our e3 breakdown.
This is actually part two of our look at Nintendo's announcements, the first part being on our sister site K.I.T.G..
Leaving of from where i finished with Bayonetta on Wi U in our first part of this segment on K.I.T.G.
I was by now thinking surley they must be thinning out now. , no chance , A game that was total surpise was Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. Taking the ever popular Toad character and giving him a whole new game all to himself in a game reminiscent of many a Mario title.
But of course Toad has his own abilitites to make the game look and play unique.
Another must buy game from Nintendo -coming 2014 Holiday season
Graphically it takes a cue from Mario 3D world and other Mario games ,what's more this one releases for the holiday season 2014. Did not see that coming at all.
Without baited breath another announcement ,that of Hyrule Warriros ,the cross over Zelda / Dynasty Warriors game. Now I'm abig fan of the Dyansty Warriors games but not all like them ,and many Zelda purists are being abit wierd about this one while others are cool for it.
Thing is the Dynasty Franchise is huge in Japan as is Zelda ,so this will sell bucketloads in it's home country for sure.
And with Zelda creator Eiji Aonuma to oversee what Programmers at Tecmo Koei are doing it looks like the new game will please fans of both series.
Come on when haven't you wanted to have Link swathing his sword through hundreds of foe.?
Hack and Slash your way through hundreds of foe as Link ,Zelda and more.
And you won't have long to wait to play either as it will be out this fall. ..
So is that it ,not by a long shot..
Remember Eiji Aonuma i mentioned above ,well yes you guessed it ,he unveiled the first footage of the official Legend of Zelda Game for Wii U, showing the large expansive open world that Zelda takes place in now. All the series game trates are kept intact with new ways to explore and solve puzzles , instead of having a set route your be able to complete the game in whatever form you want.
Coming in 2015 the new Zelda game is what Wii U owners have been waiting to see.
Anything else you say , why yes , hows about Mario Maker where you can edit and create your own Mario games and then play them in old school style or switch to a more modern look. With countless possibilities this is going to be giving hours of fun.
Mario Maker is something the Wii U has been crying out for.
So is that it / for this segment yes. But from Nintendo NO. We still have a few more games to get in to ,tomorrow where be covering the epic RPG Xenoblade Chronicles X , Nintendo's new original shooter ''Splatoon'' and the announcements by Shigeru Miyamoto .
Till then charge your batteries and get set for another button bashing day.
this is Bruno B signing off.

Hello all, first head over to our sister site news feed to see my first part of my E3 round up. You van view it by clicking here.
In this our second part i look at what Sony are announcing to counter attack Microsofts many software announcements.
Well to be hoenst a lot of the games are multi-plat anyway ,one hardware company may have a exclusive window or extra exclusive content ,ie' Dragon Age Inquisition'' on XBOX One.
Sony tried another approach by not just focusing on the software. Though they have more pies to dish out then Microsoft.
Games wise i did not think there was much to get over excited about other then 1886 ,which many say is looking sharp.
The announcements of GTA-V on PS4 , The Last of Us and a new Uncharted ,just don't excite me , but there are games coming which do sound interesting, Though not a great fan ,i did like ''Little Big Planet '' and the new iteration on PS4 is going to look and play brilliantly.
Those into Zombies will like the announcmenet of Dead Island 2 . but don't take my word for it. Check below.
Many will be waiting for the game from Bungie ''Destiny''. YES i know it's a multi-plat ,but for those in the USA ,September 9th sees the release of a new PS4 bundle to entice those still on the fence about Sony's new console.
Sony announced a new White 500gb PS4 with White Dualshock 3 controller and a copy of Destiny to released on that day.
Apparently in Europe the White console will be available as a stand alone unit, so if you don't want Destiny you can get something else.
It does look kinda cool --white PS4
For me i quite like the Bundle and even though i have played on PS4 i have held of buying one as of yet, No Sony have not sent me one free of charge , don't know why.! Suppose i could sell one of my PS3 consoles to finance it.
But whatever colour it will be the PS4 will still have the main bugbear that irritates me, the fact that it only has a HDMI connection with no other video out source.
Why you might ask, well i like to view certain games and my Blurays on a projector. And with my PS3 / Wii U i have both connected via HDMI for TV and Componenet for my projector . Switching is easy .
The ohter Sony announcment is that they are bringing VITA TV to the West , rebranded as Playstation TV this little unit allows a vita games and streaming of PS4 content on your big screen. and all for under £100..
It's small - The Playstation TV aka Vita TV in Japan
Ok that's it for this second part to my E3 overview. Well be looking at Nintendo's announcements later with articles on here and K.I.T.G.. Then where look at what Ubisofts been doing and any other announcmenets which take our interest.
Trigger finger at the ready this is Bruno B. signing off.

Yes we where at the MCM Comic Con at London's Excel on Saturday 24th , braving the crowds of thousands of people that turned up to brave the weather as the skies opened up with Rain,Winds and Hailstorms.
With the new entry and exit rules imposed at Excel ,it makes it a bit more of a chore to get from A to B.
Instead of having loads of people queuing up inside like in previous years , this years idea i think was a bit of a nightmare for vistors to the show, compared to previous shows ..
But hey ,once in it was same as usaul and the many costumes on show was amazing. ,Look out for our full feature and photo galleries in about a week ,but in the meantime here's a couple of stills to get you thinking.
Resident Evil to Well dressed CLOWNS
Where back on the Sunday,(hopefully weather will be better)
Full report very soon.

With all the hooha with the more recently released consoles and the mega sales of the PS4 it seems Nintendo is out to gain back some fans with the release of the forthcoming Mario Kart 8 , released in the UK and Europe on May 30th.
Not only are there some great Wii U bundles announced which include the game ,but Supermarket Tescoe has already announced it has a price point for the bundle of £219.00 ,a saving of £30 on the suggested price.
Nintendo themselves have a Exclusive Wii U bundle which includes a Red or Green Wii Remote ,Steering Wheel and Mario or Liugi Cap as well.
But Existing Wii U owners need not feel left out as as well as the normal edition of the game ,there is a Limited Edition Blue Shell edition available from most retailers .
Certain online retailers are offering there own promotions to with Free T-shirts ,Keyrings and more ,just visit your preffered online retailer to see what their offering.
But the big news for existing owners is if you buy Mario Kart 8 on DISC or DOWNLOAD from May 30th to 31st July 2014 and you register it on Club Nintendo your receive a download code for a free Wii U game ,from a choice of ten. And where not talking some cheap eshop games here.
On offer are ttles like Monster Hunter 3,Wii U Party, Wind Waker Wii U,Sonic Lost World,Pikmin 3,W101 ,Nintendo Land ,New Super Mario Wii U,Sonic and Mario at Sochi and Wario.
Which will you be claiming?
Your have until the 31st of August to claim your title to.So ifyou have no spare space on your system ,your have time to aqquire that hard drive you been holding out on.
One thing for sure May 30th can't come fast enough ,and i wonder how Sony and Microsoft will try and counter the Mario Kart 8 bandwagon or will they wait till E3 to unleash their claws?
Of note the London MCM Comic Con falls on the weekend before the release of the game and Nintendo usually have a big presence at the show ,so your be able to get hands on at the show I'm sure.
Back with more gaming news shortly. but in the meantime you can view the direct for MK8 below.
